About KeepOnEight
An independent guide to the plug-in devices that keep GM V8s and V6s on all cylinders, built around one question: will it work on my truck?
Why this site exists
Owners of Silverados, Sierras, Tahoes and Yukons buy AFM/DFM disablers by the tens of thousands every month. Most listings promise "fits GM V6/V8 2007–2024", then exclude the 10-speed or the 2022 refresh in small print. Answers live in forum threads and Facebook groups. We put them in one place: by generation, engine and transmission, with the limits stated.
What we do
- Track every plug-in disabler selling at least 100 units a month on Amazon US (35 today).
- Check each one against GM's engine list, makers' fitment pages and owner reports.
- Summarize what owners report, good and bad, in our own words.
What we don't do
- We don't bench-test or install products, and we never pretend to.
- We don't sell disablers, delete kits or tunes.
- We don't give legal advice or tips to get through an inspection.
